Application Need

The process requires a dedicated temperature control because a too hot plastic decomposes and a too cold material will be insufficiently plasticized. The plastic temperature is measured at the exit of the extruder prior to going into the mold.

Benefits to the customer
  • Providing a proper wall thickness, color, and mold conformity
  • Insuring high productivity and less plastic scrap
  • Increasing production speed and throughput quantity
Infrared Temperature Solutions
  • Accurate temperature readings to insure high product quality
  • Dedicated 8 to 14 µm model typically not affected by color, thickness, or chemical formulations
