The Furnace Tracker Sealed Quench Systems from Fluke Process instruments feature the Datapaq TP6 data logger, a sealed & quenchable thermal barriers from the SQ00 range, thermocouples and our intuitive Insight™ software to create a complete solution.

This system is designed specifically for the aluminum solution heat treatment process. The system features a fully sealed design incorporating a pressure relief system, which allows for the most efficient insulation and enables the system to travel through every stage of your process. It can also be used in other solution heat treatment processes up to 900°C (1652°F) such as that for Titanium.

Data Logger

The Datapaq TP6 is the perfect solution for the most demanding high-temperature profiling applications with a 316-grade machined stainless-steel case and IP67 rating. Once combined with the Datapaq Insight™ Software, you can display information from the data logger in real time via the optional Radio Frequency (RF) system or via standard USB/Bluetooth connections.

Thermal Barriers

The Sealed Quenchable Thermal Barriers (SQ00) from Fluke Process Instruments travel through all three process stages – solution treatment, quench and aging – to create a temperature profile for the entire process. Results can be viewed in real-time by using an optional radio telemetry module or they can be downloaded and analyzed with our intuitive Insight™ software at the end of the process.

This barrier series features an easy to use two-part face plate design that enables quick thermocouple changes to be made.

Software

Every Furnace Insight™ software product is designed to convert your raw data into meaningful information that can be acted on. All three software options provide a clear user interface, context sensitive help screens and wizards to assist novice users. The ability to change the language and email results directly from software enables you to share information across the plant and across the world, whether you’re on a computer or mobile device.

Aluminum solution reheat applicationThe SQ00 family of thermal barriers provide thermal protection using sealed microporous insulation around an internal water tank. In the solution treatment process the internal water tank refills when it is quenched, ensuring thermal performance is fully restored for the aging process.

The sealed quenchable thermal barriers can be used in processes up to 1000°C (1832°F) and are intended for frequent use. Typical applications include:

  • Temperature profiling the homogenizing process for large aluminum slabs and billets
  • Measuring the solution, quench and aging of complex aluminum parts such as cylinder blocks, brake calipers and alloy road wheels
  • Conducting temperature uniformity surveys in compliance with AMS2750 and CQi-9 including radiation surveys

Radio telemetry accessory

The Datapaq TP6 radio telemetry system utilizes high temperature radio-frequency technology to allow data transmission from the data logger in real time. As the system travels through the process, product and process temperature data can be viewed, analyzed and reported instantaneously. This technology can be applied to monitoring key thermal processes in most industrial heating applications.
