Designed to meet the specific needs of the textile industry, StenterPaq is a specialized thermal profile system used on a wide range of materials from smooth fabric through to heavy, deep pile carpet.
Datapaq® StenterPaq® System
The Stenter Oven Thermal Profiling Solution
Special design for specific application
- Identify hot and cold spots that may cause damage to fabric
- Confirm that the cure meets manufacturer’s specification
- Ensure true oven conditions after maintenance, breakdown or fabric type change
The StenterPaq allows you to monitor the temperature profile of your fabric as it passes through the stenter (tenter) oven.

Datapaq DP5 Data Logger
Datapaq DP5 data logger, combined with thermal protection and analytical software, helps you ensure your process is kept within specified tolerances. The DP5660 data logger has six channels allowing you to collect product temperatures from up to six locations.
The Datapaq DP5 features include:
- Temperature measurement range: -200 to 1370°C (-328 to 2498°F)
- User replaceable Nimh battery pack
- Sampling rate as low as 0.05 seconds
- 50,000 readings per channel
- High accuracy +/- 0.5°C (0.9°F)
- Easy-to-use Start/Stop buttons
Thermal Barriers
There are two types of thermal barriers available for StenterPaq System:
- TB0030 – Fixed Arm Thermal Barrier is used in stenters where a mesh belt supports the fabric or in carpet manufacturing.
- TB0031 – Telescopic Arm Thermal Barrier is used for processes where the fabric stretches as it enters the stenter.
Oven Tracker Insight Software
The Oven Tracker Insight analysis software allows comprehensive data review, analysis and reporting. The Datapaq Insight Software features include:
- Datapaq Value, reference and tolerance curves
- SPC (Statistical Process Control)
- Analysis Alarms
- Comprehensive Reporting, direct E-mail communication

The Datapaq StenterPaq is a thermal profiling system design specifically for temperature monitoring of stenter (tenter) ovens in the textile manufacturing.
Thermal processing of fabric, whether in raw roll form or finished garments requires accurate control to ensure that the chemical/coating applied to the surface is exposed to the correct cure conditions (Time @ Temperature). Oven ambient temperature and surface temperature measurements across the width of the raw fabric roll are critical for the quality of the finished garment.
With the lightweight and compact StenterPaq system, featuring fully programmable sample interval and start trigger, you can improve and optimize your textile production and garment coatings, create documentation for process control and avoid costly rejects.
Thermocouples for use with StenterPaq System
All Datapaq probes conform to the highest standards (ANSI MC 96.1 Special Limits of Error). The probe cables have been improved based on our 35 years of experience to make them durable and flexible. Spring Arm Stenter thermocouple with fast-response PTFE junction tip. Used for fabric or carpet with deep pile to penetrate to base of material. Spring Arm Stenter thermocouple with copper washer tip. Used for smooth fabric to sit flat on the surface.
