Application Need
Monitoring both oven and coil strip surface temperature across the width of the coil, from the start to the finish of the oven cure process is critical. This is accomplished by generating a temperature profile to demonstrate that the coil reached the desired temperature for the correct time duration. This ensures that the coating is cured correctly, which is necessary to provide protection of the coil for its intended use.
Benefits to the customer
- Measure both oven air and coil strip surface temperature across the entire width of coil and throughout the oven
- Creation of temperature profile traces from which time at temperature data can prove coating cure and coil quality
- Accurate optimization of line speed and zone temperature settings to protect quality and enhance productivity
- Rapid fault finding tool to identify the root cause of process problems and solve them efficiently
